A Visionary Leader and Pioneer in Financial Innovation
B K Ramadhyani, the founder of B K Ramadhyani & Co, was a leader whose pioneering approach transformed the landscape of financial services in India. Establishing the firm in 1938, he laid a strong foundation based on integrity, expertise, and innovation, principles that continue to guide the firm to this day.
Long before technology became integral to financial services, B K Ramadhyani recognized its potential. As early as the 1970s, he was among the first in India to integrate data processing and computing into financial operations. In 1971, he founded Datacons, a company that provided BPO services in accounting, payroll, and inventory management using unit recording machines and early computers. This forward-thinking initiative positioned him as a trailblazer in India's IT and outsourcing revolution, laying the groundwork for the country’s rise as a global technology hub.
Beyond his professional achievements, B K Ramadhyani was a lifelong learner and scholar. At the age of 58, he took on the challenge of learning Sanskrit, a pursuit that led him to translate the Ramayana and the Bhagavad Gita into English poetry—a testament to his intellectual depth and passion for knowledge.
Although he passed away 49 years ago, his legacy of excellence, innovation, and commitment to service continues to inspire B K Ramadhyani & Co. His spirit remains deeply embedded in the firm's culture, driving its mission to provide strategic financial solutions that empower businesses to thrive in an evolving world.

- 1989 – Golden Jubilee of the Firm (50 years). Mr. Vijay R Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Electric Company Limited was the chief guest.
- 1998 – Diamond Jubilee Celebrations (60 years). Mr. N R Narayana Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director, Infosys Limited was the chief guest. Mr. P Chidambaram delivered the Late Ramadhyani memorial lecture on ‘Excellence and equality-the dog chasing its tail’. Mr. Rahul P Roy, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India spoke on emerging trends and changes in the profession.
- 2013 – Platinum Jubilee Celebrations (75 years) & Founder’s 100th Birth Anniversary. Mr. K Raghu, President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India was the chief guest. Dr. Parthasarathi Shome, advisor to the Finance Minister of India delivered the Late Ramadhyani memorial lecture on ‘contemporary trends in cross-border taxation, base erosion and profit shifting’.

Shyam Ramadhyani is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and an associate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. With over 45 years of continuous practice, he has built a reputation in accounting, audit, assurance, taxation, and management advisory. His expertise spans various industries, including banking, manufacturing, services, insurance, and aviation. He has also served on the boards of several companies.
A strong advocate of the firm’s founding principles, Shyam Ramadhyani has played a pivotal role in shaping its journey.
He has presented several papers at regional and national seminars and authored articles in the ICAI Journal. Additionally, he has completed the ICAI certification course on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Currently, he heads the consulting division of the firm while also lending his expertise to large internal and statutory audit assignments.
R Satyanarayana Murthi is a fellow member of ICAI, an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a law graduate, and a DISA-qualified professional. With over 40 years of post-qualification experience, he has gained extensive expertise in audits, assurance, advisory, and business process outsourcing services. His credentials include successful completion of certification courses and examinations on forensic accounting & fraud detection, enterprise risk management, IFRS, RERA, valuation, and business responsibility and sustainability reporting.
He co-heads the consulting division of the firm and provides critical support in handling large internal and statutory audit assignments.
C R Krishna is a fellow member of ICAI with over 35 years of expertise in audits, assurance, and direct taxation practice.
He leads the firm’s direct tax practice and has completed the ICAI certification course on IFRS. His contributions extend beyond professional practice—he is an active member of the governing body of a trust set up by his alma mater.
C R Deepak is a fellow member of ICAI with over 18 years of post-qualification experience, specialising in statutory audit and assurance. He has led audit engagements across multiple industries, including manufacturing, services, banking, insurance, and real estate.
A certified IFRS professional, he heads the firm’s statutory audit practice.
H S Vasuki is a fellow member of ICAI with over 15 years of post-qualification experience, focusing on statutory audit and assurance. His extensive audit experience spans banking, automotive, hospitality, manufacturing, and aviation sectors.
He holds certifications in IFRS and DISA, both from ICAI. He co-leads the statutory audit practice alongside Deepak.
Rashmi Ramadhyani is a fellow member of ICAI with over 15 years of post-qualification experience. She has successfully completed the CPA certification exam in the United States and has played a significant role in handling numerous statutory audits.
Currently, she leads the business process outsourcing division of the firm, overseeing accounting, compliance, payroll, and employee retirement benefits administration.
R Lakshmanan is a fellow member of ICAI with over 50 years of post-qualification experience. He previously headed the internal audit function at a Navaratna public sector undertaking. His experience in corporate governance and risk assessment is guiding the firm’s internal audit and risk practice.
Sachin Mehta is a fellow member of ICAI with over 15 years of post-qualification experience. He specialises in direct tax advisory, compliance support, and litigation practice. As he continues to grow within the firm, he has taken on leadership of the direct tax practice, ensuring a strong foundation for the firm’s tax advisory services.
Sachidananda B G is a fellow member of ICAI and an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked extensively in audit, compliance audits for direct and indirect taxation, and consultancy on tax laws and regulatory enactments.
He also assist companies and LLPs with new business setup services, ensuring legal and business compliance from inception. Currently, he is focusing on automation in audits and enhancing documentation standards through innovative technology solutions.
A V Prasad is an associate member of ICAI with many years of experience in internal and statutory audits. He has also worked extensively in the design, implementation, and support of software solutions for the securities market, including mutual funds and unit trusts. His experience includes leadership roles in multinational banks, where he held management positions. He heads the practice of providing CFO services to our clientele.
Vijay Singh A R is a fellow member of ICAI with over 10 years of post-qualification experience. He currently practices independently as a Chartered Accountant, focusing on GST matters, ERP implementation, mining regulatory affairs, and special assignments. He leads the GST practice of the firm.
Pradeep S is a director with over 10 years of experience in risk advisory and assurance engagements. Having worked with clients across aviation, real estate, financial services, automobiles, auto parts, manufacturing, education, dairy technology, and office space solutions, he has gained a deep understanding of industry-specific risks and controls.
His expertise lies in performing internal audits and process reviews for both core and support business functions.
